SafePing (Store display name: 平安少, hereinafter "the App", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and safeguard information when you use the App and related services (the "Services"). If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
2. Naming Clarification (SafePing vs 平安少)
The App is displayed as "平安少" (Ping An Shao) on the App Store / Google Play and device home screens. This display name is intentionally designed to provide discreet camouflage for user privacy and safety in sensitive situations. Regardless of the display name, the underlying service, functionality, and data processing practices remain those of SafePing. This Privacy Policy applies to the Services under any display name.

4. Free Features and Sponsorship
All core features of the App are available for free. Sponsorship is a voluntary one-time donation that supports the operation and improvement of the Services. Sponsorship does not unlock, restrict, or otherwise affect App functionality.
5. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed in connection with:
- Guard Mode and the "Dead Man's Switch" (countdown timer) mechanism
- Emergency contact ("Guardian") setup and alerts
- Cloud Emergency Alerts delivered via SMS and LINE
- Sponsorship (voluntary donations), customer support, and service operations
6. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide safety and reliability features, depending on your device, settings, and permissions.
6.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, user ID, authentication tokens (as applicable)
- Guardians: names, phone numbers, and LINE identifiers (only the contacts you explicitly select)
- Settings and content you enter: timer duration, reminder time, alert preferences, language, and optional alert notes you provide
6.2 Location Information (With Your Permission)
- Precise location (GPS) and / or approximate location (network-based)
- Location accuracy and timestamp
- Purpose: to include your last known location in emergency alerts for your Guardians
6.3 Device and App Information
- Device and App metadata: device model, operating system version (iOS / Android), App version
- Push notification token: to deliver reminders and important status notices
- Optional status signals (if enabled or available): network status (Wi-Fi / cellular / offline), battery level, charging status
6.4 Diagnostics and Security (Optional)
- Crash logs, error logs, and performance metrics (to improve stability, security, and abuse prevention)
7. Permissions
Depending on the features you enable, the App may request:
- Contacts permission: to help you select Guardians
- Location permission: to include last known location in emergency alerts
- Notifications permission: to remind you when Guard Mode is not enabled and to show important status updates
You can change or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. If you disable permissions, some features may not function properly.
8. Platform Differences (iOS vs Android)
Functionality and reliability may differ by platform due to OS restrictions.
8.1 Android
- When Guard Mode is enabled, the App may use a foreground service (with a persistent notification) to improve background reliability.
- Android may support sending emergency SMS from your device ("on-device SMS"), depending on OS capabilities and permissions. Carrier charges may apply.
8.2 iOS
- iOS restricts third-party apps from automatically sending SMS in the background. Therefore, emergency notifications on iOS generally rely on cloud delivery via SMS and / or LINE when cloud alerts are enabled. The Services do not provide email delivery.
- iOS background execution is restricted. Timing and frequency of background operations are not guaranteed by iOS.
9. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide personal safety features and related service operations, including:
- Sending alerts to Guardians when a timer expires or emergency triggers are activated
- Providing your last known location and last known status (e.g., timestamp, battery) to Guardians during an emergency
- Delivering reminders when Guard Mode is not enabled (based on your configured reminder time)
- Delivering Cloud Emergency Alerts via SMS and LINE (no email delivery is provided)
- Managing sponsorship donations, providing support, preventing fraud and abuse, and maintaining security and service stability
We do not sell your personal information.
10. How We Share Information
We share information only as necessary:
- With your Guardians: the alert content you trigger (including last known location / status)
- With service providers: cloud hosting, databases, push notifications, and SMS / LINE delivery providers, strictly for providing the Services
- For legal reasons: to comply with lawful requests, enforce our policies, or protect rights and safety
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards
We do not upload or store your full contacts list. Only Guardians you explicitly select may be stored and used for alerts.
11. Data Storage, Retention, and Deletion
We may store user profiles, selected Guardians, settings, and limited operational records using cloud infrastructure (for example, Google Firebase or equivalent services used to operate the App).
- Account, settings, and selected Guardians: retained until you delete your account
- Diagnostics logs (if applicable): retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and security
You can delete your account (if the App provides an in-app deletion option) or contact us to request deletion. After deletion, associated data will be deleted or anonymized, subject to legal obligations.
12. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as encryption in transit and access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
13. Important Disclosures (No Guarantee of Delivery)
The App is a supplementary tool. It relies on OS constraints, device settings, network availability, mobile carriers, and third-party services. As a result, alerts and deliveries may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable in certain circumstances.
14. Your Choices and Rights
You may access, update, or delete your Guardians and settings within the App, revoke permissions in device settings, and request account deletion via the contact email above.
15. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when changes take effect. Material changes may be communicated through the App or our website.

6. 我們蒐集的資訊
我們僅蒐集提供安全通報與服務可靠度所必需之資訊(依您的裝置、設定與授權而定)。
6.1 您主動提供的資訊

- 守護者資訊:姓名、電話、LINE 識別資訊(僅限您「實際選取」的聯絡人)
- 設定與您輸入的內容:倒數時間、提醒時間、通知偏好、語言、以及您自行輸入的通報備註
6.2 位置資訊(需您授權)
- 精準位置(GPS)與/或概略位置(網路定位)
- 位置精準度與時間戳記
- 用途:於緊急通報中提供您的最後已知位置,協助守護者掌握狀況
6.3 裝置與 App 資訊
- 裝置與 App 基本資料:裝置型號、作業系統版本(iOS/Android)、本 App 版本
- 推播權杖:用於發送提醒與重要狀態通知
- 狀態訊號(選填):網路狀態(Wi-Fi/行動網路/離線)、電池電量、是否充電
6.4 診斷與安全(選填)
- 當機紀錄、錯誤紀錄、效能資料(用於改善穩定性、安全性與濫用防護)
7. 權限
本 App 可能依您啟用的功能請求下列權限:
- 通訊錄權限:協助您快速選取守護者
- 定位權限:於緊急通報中提供最後已知位置
- 通知權限:提醒「目前未啟動守護」並顯示重要狀態更新
您可隨時於手機系統設定中調整或撤回授權。撤回授權可能導致部分功能無法正常運作或可靠度下降。
8. iOS 與 Android 差異說明
由於作業系統限制不同,本 App 在 iOS 與 Android 的行為與可靠度可能有所差異。
8.1 Android
- 守護模式啟用期間,本 App 可能使用前景服務(Foreground Service,並顯示常駐通知)以提升背景運作可靠度。
- Android 可能支援由裝置本機發送緊急 SMS(依系統能力與權限而定);電信費用依使用者電信資費方案計算。
8.2 iOS
- iOS 限制第三方 App 於背景自動發送 SMS,因此 iOS 之緊急通報通常需依賴雲端投遞(若您已啟用雲端通報;投遞管道為 SMS 與/或 LINE)。本服務不提供 email 投遞。
- iOS 背景執行限制較多,背景作業之觸發時間與頻率不提供保證。
9. 我們如何使用您的資訊
我們僅為提供個人安全功能與本服務維運所需而使用資訊,包括:
- 倒數到期或緊急條件成立時通知守護者
- 於緊急情況下提供最後已知位置與最後狀態(例如時間戳記、電量等)
- 依您設定的提醒時間提醒「目前未啟動守護」
- 透過雲端投遞緊急通報(投遞管道為 SMS 與 LINE,本服務不提供 email 投遞)
- 贊助款項之處理、客服支援、防詐與濫用偵測、系統維運與安全強化
我們不販售您的個人資料。
10. 我們如何揭露與分享資訊
我們僅在必要範圍內分享資訊:
- 對守護者:您觸發通報時所包含之內容(包含最後已知位置/狀態)
- 對服務供應商:雲端主機、資料庫、推播,以及 SMS/LINE 投遞服務供應商(僅限提供本服務所需)
- 法令要求或權益保護:配合法令或為保護權利與安全
- 商業移轉:合併、收購或資產移轉,並採取合理保護措施
我們不會上傳或儲存您的完整通訊錄;僅處理您選取的守護者資訊。
11. 資料儲存、保留與刪除
我們可能使用雲端基礎設施(例如 Google Firebase 或提供本服務所需之同等工具)儲存:帳號資料、守護者、設定,以及有限的維運紀錄。
- 帳號、設定、守護者:保留至您刪除帳號為止
- 診斷紀錄(如適用):採有限期間保留,以供排查與安全需求
您可於本 App 內刪除帳號(若提供此功能)或來信申請刪除。完成刪除後,與帳號關聯之資料將刪除或匿名化,但依法令或合理必要之保留義務者除外。
12. 安全措施
我們採取合理的技術與組織措施(例如傳輸加密與存取控制)保護您的資料;惟任何傳輸或儲存方式均無法保證 100% 安全。
13. 重要事實揭露(不保證送達)
本服務為輔助工具,運作仰賴作業系統限制、裝置設定、網路可用性、電信商與第三方服務。因此通知可能在特定情況下延遲、不完整或無法送達。
14. 您的權利與選擇
您可於本 App 內管理守護者與設定,並可於手機系統設定中撤回權限;亦可透過上方聯絡信箱申請刪除帳號與資料。
15. 兒童隱私
本 App 不以未滿 13 歲(或您所在地法令規定之最低年齡)者為使用對象,我們亦不會在知情情況下蒐集其個人資料。
16. 政策更新
我們可能不定期更新本政策,並以本頁最後更新日期為準。重大變更時,我們將以合理方式於本 App 或官網公告。
